Europrivacy goes global
What does it mean in practice?
With the recentEuropean Data Protection Board(EDPB) opinion, Europrivacy is now recognised as a European Data Protection Seal with global applicability, including its extension as a certification mechanism under Art. 46 GDPR.
This means companies worldwide that are subject to the GDPR can now use Europrivacy certification to:
• demonstrate compliance of their data processing activities with GDPR requirements
• support international data transfers by demonstrating appropriate safeguards
